The guardian angel from Skultuna was designed by Carl-Einar Borgström during the 1940s. Carl-Einar Borgström (born in Ystad 1914 –1981) was a sculptor educated at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, designing a wide range of products, mainly for the disused Ystad Metall. The guardian angel is gilded and therefore does not need any trimming with anything other than a damp cloth from time to time to maintain its luster over the years
