In 1955 Yngve Ekström designed a low chair for Stolab, which was named Arka. The name is short for the arched sidewalks of the Romans called arcades and the arched shape can be found in the special design of the lounge chair, where Yngve is based on three circles. A design that has become iconic and gained many followers over the years. Arka is made of solid birch or oak.
