Dag Hammarskjöld, like the UN Secretary-General, set up a small meditation room – "A room of quiet" – in the UN building in New York where one could quietly withdraw. A mural by Bo Beskow was commissioned for a fund wall and in addition to a large boulder the room was furnished only with eight pallets, designed by Carl Malmsten. The pallets are still there. On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the designer's birth, in 2013, 125 numbered pallets were produced, in oiled oak with seaweed lacing.
Stool in solid oak with seat in braided seaweed designed by Carl Malmsten. Pall Meditation is made in a numbered series of 125 pcs and is made by Three Centuries.
