Delivery

Custom items are ordered from our suppliers and manufactured according to your wishes, the delivery time for these furniture varies. For specific delivery information on your particular product, please contact us on 08-23 33 80 or [email protected].

When a product is specially ordered, we require that the deposit has been received before we place an order with the manufacturer. This means that the delivery time may be affected if you do not pay the deposit in the agreed time.

All prices are based on transportation to land-based destinations. For example, boat fees and further delivery from boat are not included, but this may be arranged and paid for by the recipient.

Shipping costs vary depending on the nature, weight, volume and country within Europe/ rest of the world a shipment is to be. Please note that the receipt or disposal of packaging is not included for deliveries abroad.

  • Considerations when receiving furniture

Make sure it is possible to deliver the product to your home. For example, it is possible to carry the furniture in an elevator or that it is possible to enter through doors and stairwells. In winter it is important that the road/entrance to the house is passable and ice-free. The road to the delivery address shall be navigable and passable.

  • Delivery delays

If delivery delays or deviations occur based on your preliminary delivery week, we will notify you by email or phone. We reserve the right to waive all claims to customers regarding delivery delays.

Payment & Security

  • Deposit

When ordering unstock goods, we charge a down payment of at least 50% of the price of the goods. Less than the total amount 5.000: - of the order, the full amount is paid in advance.
If you cancel the item or for any other reason withdraw from the contract, we have the right to withdraw from the deposit for costs and any damage resulting from the cancellation or withdrawal

  • Invoice within Sweden

Orders in physical store and by phone: for orders over 5.000:- you can choose to pay by invoice. A deposit corresponding to 50% of the order value is charged at the time of purchase, the remaining payment must be received by us no later than 10 days after delivery. Payment of invoices must be made to the company's bank giro or by card in our shop at Humlegårdsgatan 13 in Stockholm. The amount of the invoice is inclusive of VAT.

  • Invoice EU

In case of invoice within the EU, full prepayment is required before delivery.
The amount of the invoice is specified including VAT.

  • Invoice outside the EU

In case of invoice outside the EU, full prepayment is required before delivery.
The amount of the invoice is given excluding VAT.

  • Interest

Interest on late payment is charged at 16% on payment after 10 days.

Complaints

Complaints about original defects in goods must be made to the Malmsten shop within a reasonable time from the time you discovered, or should have discovered, the defect, two months is always considered to be within a reasonable time. We recommend that you make any complaint in writing, by e-mail or letter. You can also make a complaint by telephone or directly in our shop at Humlegårdsgatan 13 in Stockholm. 

If there is no complaint within a reasonable time from the time the defect was discovered, or should have been discovered, and within three years of receiving the goods, you lose the right to make any penalties under the Consumer Purchase Act applicable to malmstenbutiken.

In case of approved complaint, you will be reimbursed for all of your costs in connection with the complaint, including return shipping.

Right of withdrawal - distance selling

When buying via the web, the Distance Trading Act applies. This means that you as a customer have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the item. The product should be unused and unharmed. Original packaging must be saved and accompany the returned item. When you exercise the right of withdrawal, you as a customer are responsible for the return shipping.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made according to your specific wishes or goods that have otherwise, due to your order, been given a clear personal character, e.g. meter goods, custom-made furniture, luminaires and custom-made curtains.

Open purchase/exchange in store

We leave 30 days' exchange, from the time you got the item in your hand. During this time you can switch to another item. The right to exchange does not apply to custom or reduced goods. In order for your exchange right to remain intact, you must present a receipt and return the product unused and in mint condition. We would like to see the product returned in its original packaging.

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase and do not find anything else in our store as compensation, you have the opportunity to return the product within 7 working days of the time of purchase and get your money back. Open purchase does not apply to meter or custom goods. When repurchasing the product, you must present a receipt and return the product unused and in mint condition. We would like to see the product returned in its original packaging.

Transport damage

On delivery, the goods must always be checked. Deviations (damage to goods, packaging damage, missing package) must be recorded on the shipping document/hand scanner and signed by the driver and the receiver. The notification must be made to us immediately on 08-23 33 80 or on [email protected]. If the damage is detected during unpacking, this must be reported to us no later than 4 days from receipt. For efficient and timely handling of the complaint, digital images of the goods' packaging and pictures of the damaged product should be attached and sent to [email protected]. Please note that the goods must not be moved or used until the complaint is completed and that the packaging is saved for inspection.

Personal Data and Privacy Policy

In order to handle your purchase and thereby fulfill our contractual obligations to you, we need to collect and process personal data. We process your personal data with the utmost respect and in accordance with the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The information provided at the time of the order, i.e. name, address, telephone number and e-mail address is recorded and used to handle and send your order from us at malmstenbutiken and the transport company hired by us. We only use the data for the performance of the contract. The data are stored for 7 years. As long as the data is stored at Malmstenbutiken, you can request to get extracts on the data or have the data corrected or deleted. You also have the right to complain about the processing to the supervisory authority (in Sweden Data Inspektionen). Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties (other than as stated above), transferred to non-EU countries or processed for any purposes other than those set out above.
